Our Hands Should Heal and Soothe
A Guide to One Flesh Prayer Massage

Our hands, women, are anointed to minister to our husbands. The early Christian church laid on hands, prayed, and anointed. As wives, we touch our husbands often but have you considered the awesome anointing that would result if we laid on hands, prayed, anointed our husbands all in a pleasurable show of love for him? You must try this. If your husband does not lead your family in prayer, this is a great way for the two of you to touch and agree. It is powerful.

In your private time with your husband on the week-ends, or nights, when you are not rushed, give him a really good massage. As you massage him, speak life-giving words. I term this “prayer massage.” Certain oils were used in the Bible. However, if you don’t have spinkard use baby oil, something that he likes the smell of. Have him take off most of his clothes, if not all. Have him lie on the bed on his stomach and just massage him from head to toe.

Wives, prior to giving your husband this massage, you must first prepare to minister to him. Empty your mind of your problems and worries. Prior to ministering to your husband remember that your hands are anointed to bless and heal.

Remind yourself that your belief in your husband and your speech will cause your husband to be and become what God has purposed for him. Remind yourself that this is not about you and do not expect him to stop and massage you. This is all about ministering to him. Have all of your preparation done before he lies down for his massage. Men are busy and generally are impatient. Here are some tips to make this intimate prayer time enjoyable for you both.

• First ask your husband if he would like to have a massage and when it would be a good time to do so. Let him know that you do not want to rush his massage.

• Instead of secular music for prayer massage, I rec-ommend beautiful instrumental worship by Terry Macalon or Ben Tankard.

Note: Be aware that music has spirits associated with it. Music is powerful. If you listen to secular artists with your spouse, you are causing the anointing that was on those art-ists when they produced that music to fall on you and your spouse. Secular music can have spirits of lust, seduction, and wandering associated with them.
